General operations

  • We are a coalition of organizations aligned with a common cause: to protect the Canadian population from the rise in antimicrobial resistance

  • Every member has an equal vote towards setting the direction of CAIC and approving strategies for achieving our aims

Steering Committee and Secretariat

  • Comprised of two representatives from each subgroup, as well as the Chair and Vice-Chair of CAIC, the Steering Committee guides CAIC’s operations and serves as an information channel between CAIC and its constituent sub-groups

  • The Steering Committee also makes recommendations regarding strategy, policy positions, and action items, in addition to overseeing financial and governance decisions related to external communications and project expenditures

  • The Secretariat provides administrative and operational research support in addition to carrying out other duties as assigned by CAIC
